Infinity N5 Is On Its Way!

Infinity N5 Is On Its Way!

Exciting news for Infinity fans! Corvus Belli has announced that the new edition of Infinity, N5, is set to arrive around the end of this year. While details are still scarce, here’s what we do know:

  1. Endsong: The story continues, following on from the events of Endsong.
  2. Battle Pack and Armies: N5 will launch with a Battle Pack featuring two armies: PanOceania and the Japanese Secessionist Army (JSA). Expect intense clashes between these factions!
  3. Rules System: The familiar D20 system will remain, ensuring that it’s “Always Your Turn.” Automatic Reaction Orders (AROs) will also stay in play.
  4. CodeOne Transition: CodeOne won’t be supported in N5, but fear not! CodeOne models have always been playable in N4 and will continue to be playable in N5.
  5. Entry-Level Rules: Speculation abounds about the N5 launch box. It may include a rules and mission booklet, akin to CodeOne, making it a perfect entry point for new players while also being a great box for experienced gamers.

UPDATE: We now know that the first Battle Pack release for N5 will be Operation Sandtrap and it will introduce two new sectorial armies:

Kestrel Colonial Force (PanOceania)

  • Fennec Fusiliers
  • Banshees
  • Black A.I.R
  • Scarecrows Active Recon Group
  • Griffin Troops

and Shindenbutai (JSA)

  • Senku Troops
  • Raiden Seibutai
  • Nokizaru Unit
  • Jizamurai Hanryodan
  • Hatamoto Imperial Guard

A few rules/terminology changes include the change of weapons damage to Possibility of Survival (PS); Natural Born Warrior  will counter any negative modifiers but any positive modifiers will remain. Vehicles are added, such as hover bikes and drones. These will be sleek and dynamic in fitting with the anime aesthetic of the Infinity universe. Spend a comman token to request a Speedball - special equipment that will add an upgrade to your unit during battle.

In addition to Operation Sandtrap, there will be a smaller starter box 'Infinity Essentials: Start Here' which will give you a few models for each of the two armies, along with dice, some terrain tokens and troop starter cards. This is promised to come to retail with a low price tag. It's the perfect way to try Infinity if you just want to dip your toes into the game for now.

As usual with Corvus Belli, there will be some short' learn how to play' videos created.

As soon as we have pre-order details, we'll add these to our website for pre-order. Also, as per previous releases, Sandtrap will include a pre-order miniature so make sure to get your pre-order in once it's up on our site!

So gear up, fellow gamers!  Infinity N5 promises thrilling battles, strategic depth, and endless possibilities. 🚀🌌
